Application Process

Application Proccess

STEP 1: ONLINE APPLICATION

The first step in the application process requires the completion of the online application form. The form will request information regarding your training background, disciplinary history, and interest in abortion care.

You may save a partially completed form using the “Save and Resume Later” button at the bottom of the application. The “Save and Resume Later” option will email you a unique link for your application form. If you lose that link, you will need to start the application over.

The whole application must be completed within four weeks of the date you started the application. If you are unable to complete the application during that time period, the application information will be erased and you will need to start again.

STEP 2: INTERVIEW AND REFERENCE CHECK

After application submission, you will be contacted by an application manager who will schedule a time to interview you using a video conference system. They will also facilitate an initial background check. The background check will be used to verify your identity and will be facilitated through the National Abortion Federation (NAF). You may be contacted by NAF staff for additional information in order to conduct the initial background check.

Following your interview, the application manager will contact your references and run a second, more in-depth background check to review federal and state criminal history.

STEP 3: SITE RANKING

Once your application has been approved, you will receive more information regarding the training centers and have the opportunity to rank your preferences for training center location.

STEP 4: SITE MATCHING

An application manager will compare your preferences with site availability, and match you with the site best suited to your training needs.
